The Wine Club Cardigan is a classic, versatile piece with a relaxed fit and timeless details, designed to be the kind of cardigan you’ll wear season after season. Its clean silhouette makes it easy to style—layer it casually over jeans and a tee, dress it up with tailored trousers, or wrap yourself in it on quiet evenings at home. A slightly longer ribbed hem adds balance and polish, while the button bands are worked in double knitting for a neat and sturdy finish. The name reflects the cardigan’s character: relaxed, cozy, and perfect for slow evenings that invite comfort and warmth.

The cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down. It begins at the back neck, which is increased to the full width of the upper back before stitches are picked up for the shoulders and worked as the fronts. The yoke is knitted flat with increases for both sleeves and body, creating a comfortable fit through the shoulders. The body is left open at the front, framed by the double-knit button bands for a clean, finished edge. At the underarms, sleeves and body are separated and completed individually, the body flat and the sleeves in the round.

The Wine Club Cardigan can be knit in DK weight yarn for a crisp, defined fabric, or with fingering weight yarn held together with silk mohair for a softer, haloed texture. The length of both body and sleeves is easily adjustable, and trying the cardigan on as you go ensures a fit that’s just right for your style.
