The pattern is a made to measure hat and can be made in every yarn quality, so you don´t have to match a specific gauge or use a specific yarn.

The hat is knitted in the round with intarsia knitting over the brim. It is beginner friendly, you only have to know how to do a knit and purl stitch, how to decrease and how to read a knit chart.

You need four colours of the same type of yarn. One colour as the main colour of your hat and three for the little ducks.
