A few months ago, my husband and I got to visit Guadalajara for a friend’s wedding. While we were there, we stayed in the neighborhood called Zapopan. It felt like we were in the heart of the city where we got to experience all the richness of the culture and busy-ness of the city. This beanie is reminiscent of the busy, yet beautiful, experience we had during our stay there. I like to picture a local wearing this beanie while going about her day in Zapopan.

This beanie is made on circular needles which means less finishing after it’s complete. The body of the beanie is made by alternating between a lace chevron pattern and broken seed stitch. It’s the perfect accessory for spring, fall or a cold summer night.

Materials:
16” circular needles in US 7
16” circular needles in US 9
Double pointed needles in US 9
Stitch marker

Yarn:
About 100 yards Lion Brand Heartland in Grand Canyon
About 20 yards Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice in Beige

Finished size: 18” around x 9” tall flat
