Another New Year had begun and Barina thought about the 365 days worth of  possibilities that this brought.  Much like the Phoenix that is reborn from the ashes to begin anew, the new year brought all the  wonderful potential of a new chapter in life.  Nestled in her warm burrow looking out the window she marvelled at the  unique splendor of each new fallen snowflake. As she pressed her face closer to the window she noticed a most intriguing thing; a moving snowflake. Quickly she went to put on her coat, hat and mittens and thought, “Possibility number 1, here I come!”
Barina approached the little snowflake said, “ Hello there little snowflake. My name is Barina. What are you doing? “
The little snowflake was startled. She had been so focused on what she was doing that she didn’t notice Barina.
“Hello! My name is Liz and I just arrived today! You see, in the mystical and magical land of Tindris I had two very dear friends, Ivy and Ivan Snowball. We went on adventures together, explored far away lands and enjoyed iced coffee in our igloo. All the residents of Tindris know that at some point in time they will be called  upon to serve and become a snowfall for Earth. Tindra, the winter fairy called a meeting and we knew it was time.”
“Citizens of Tindris, the New Year is upon us! As it is tradition, the year shall begin with the a snowfall. Please be aware that this is a dangerous journey and you may be separated from family and friends but with the help of Yeti and Unicorn you shall all be reunited! Remember our arch nemesis, Medusa, will also be anticipating the first snowfall so be aware and on high alert! Now, who is ready?!”
