The inspirations behind the shawls:

“Anemone Nemorosa Shawl” is inspired by the early-spring flowering plant Anemone Nemorosa which covers the forest floor like a carpet with it’s lovely white but may be pinkish, lilac or blue, and often have a darker tint on the backs of the tepals.

“The Cornus Suecica Shawl” is inspired by this cute little flower, Dwarf Cornel, that grows by the sea and high up in the mountains. It reminds me of my childhood summer by the ocean. I can still feel the wind and hear the sound of the waves beat against the rocks.

“Windy Waves Shawl” is inspired by the loving energy of the sea. It gives me strength, inspiration, and total relaxation. My roots are strongly connected to coastal people and the coastal culture, so I always long for the sea.

“Bear Hug Shawl” A special friend of mine was struggling in her life and I wanted to be there to support her. She lives far away from me, so it wasn’t possible just to stop by and give her a friendly bear hug. Then I came up with the design “Bear Hug Shawl“. The cables in the midsection represent friendship, love, and support.
