July
First pass through the drum carder is done. I had about 30 grams of waste at the end. There are 13 batts with weight of about 30-34 grams each.

Second pass has started and is about half done. It feels a lot softer than I thought it would be. This fleece was full of second cuts, but it looks like I was successful at getting most of them out before carding.

Only two passes needed. My basket of batts is ready for spinning! I started with 18 ounces and now I have just under a pound of batts.
I had originally thought of socks, but I think now that it will be singles destined for blankets.

Finished spinning. Five full bobbins and one bobbin about 3/4 full. I will let these rest on bobbins for a while so they will have little energy when I wind them into skeins. Once washed or dyed the energy of the singles will be back. But I’ll dry them under tension so they will be ready for weaving.
