Skull and Stripes Gear Shift Cover

Round 1: Ch 3, counts as 1st double crochet + base chain.
dc 8 in 3rd ch from hook (base chain), ch 5, dc 1 in base ch, ch 3, dc 1 in base ch, ch 5, sl st in 1st st (=24 st)

Round 2: ch 1 (does not count as a st), sc 1 in each of the 9 dc (including same place as sl st), sc 6 in next ch-sp, sl st in next ch-sp, ch 2, dc 3 in same ch-sp, ch 2, sl st in same ch-sp, sc 6 in next ch-sp, sl st in 1st st (=30 st).
Fasten off and cut yarn.

Round 3: Color change yarn #2 with a sl st into same st. Dc into the next 13 sts, Tc into the next 2 sts, hdc into the next 4 sts, Tc into the next 2 sts, dc into the next 6 sts. Start Dc into the final st with color yarn #2, add in color yarn #3 to complete the dc ( final two loops, pull through new color).

Round 4-9: Dc into the next 27 sts. Start Dc into the final st with same color, add in opposite color yarn to complete the dc ( final two loops, pull through new color).

Round 10: Dc into the next 10 sts, hdc into the next 10 sts, sc into the next 7 sts, sl st into the final st. Fasten off, cut yarn.
