Changes to make a wider border:
8 rounds (4 ridges) of garter st,
1 round of the yo, k2tog as in the written pattern,
6 more rounds (3 ridges) of garter st,
1 knit round,
bo purlwise as in pattern directions

7/26/12: 200 Yds over, but that’s probably because I did 18 border rows instead of 7.
Planning to run a white ribbon through the eyelets, and make a nice pretty bow.
I’m so pleased with how this turned out, and it was so quick and easy!!

7/25/12: I don’t know why people are having yardage problems. The 1090 at the top is accurate, and I am planning on adding a couple extra garter border rows because I bought more than I needed because of all the comments.

6/23/12: Just about to finish Chart 1- LOVING this pattern- so quick and easy and intuitive- I might even extend the pattern if time allows for a slightly larger blanket.

CO today for my new niece who will arrive in just 2 1/2 months! must knit quickly…
