Quick and simple, stash-busting project.

I made a slightly larger hat by using larger needles and casting on more stiches.

This yarn is terrible. Could barely see what I was doing, and weaving in tails was a nightmare. I really like the pattern and will probably make more in the future, but with better yarn.

Modifications

I used size US 9 needles because I had 16” circulars. The fabric is more open than I would like and should have used smaller needles. I also totally forgot to use smaller needles for the ribbing.

Cast on 60 stiches.

Work in K2 P2 ribbing for six rows.

Knit in stockinette stitch until work measures 4” from bottom.

K3, K2TOG around.

K around for 4 rounds.

K2, K2TOG around.

K around for 3 rounds.

K, K2TOG around.

K around for K2TOG around.

Ears

PU 10 stiches.

K for four rows.
