All right, finished!

Technically, this is a quick pattern. But it took me a day to complete the base and a second to work on the petals. Then a third day to weave in all the ends. (>~>) I may have been a tad bit distracted by teh Interwebz during that time.

My count appears to be off a bit from the directions. I also used a G hook. My potholder refuses to sit flat, rippling along the edge, so the count being off and/or the smaller hook could be the culprit. I’m going to try blocking the base to make it larger and see if that helps.

The colours didn’t turn out as nicely as they looked in my head (not the first time that’s happened). I wanted it to be more muted orange and 60’s retro, but it sorta looks like a flat lily. I think that salmon colour is a little overwhelming. Oh well, it was a test anyway.

I have plans for rainbow and sunflower versions in the future.
