Plan to first Work in rows to create a deeper neckline in the front
Will only cast in 9 stitches each for the front sides and add the missing stitches later

Plan to use the edge stiches from the Drops Summer Fan Top for the armholes:
EDGE STITCHES WITH I-CORD:
BEGINNING OF ROW:
Work as follows (= 5 stitches): Slip 1 stitch purlwise with strand in front of piece, knit 1 and work 3 stitches in garter stitch.
END OF ROW:
Work as follows (= 5 stitches): Work until 5 stitches remain on row, work 3 stitches in garter stitch, slip 1 stitch purlwise with strand in front of piece, knit 1.
Continue like this from both right side and wrong side.

5 ridges - 10 rows give me 4 cm length.
Will start the increases after 14 ridges.

Ran out of the partial ball in cream (app. 2/3 of the ball, I would guess) within the 8th stripe of white (though I only did stripes on the front and after joining in the round, so it is in the 4th stripe after joining in the round).

Working on the 2.5 ball of blue now.

July 19, 2026

Picked up 104 stitches around neck with 3.5 mm needles.
Plan to do the ribbing as for the Summer Fan top.

I.e.: Knit one knit round after picking up, do 1 by 1 ribbing for 5 rounds, 3 knit rounds, bind off.

Finished - took in-wear photos before blocking.
Total length incl. ribbing 45 cm.
Could have closed the armhole 1 stripe earlier, but not too revealing.

Not totally sure how I feel about the neckline finishing - I guess I will make another one using the original boatneck option, maybe starting with ribbing in smaller needles to avoid rolling, I am not too keen on a rolling neckline.
