Loving this pattern so far. Only problem - the chart is written for a light background and dark pattern but I am knitting a dark background and light pattern, which is what the designer shows in her sample photos. So why was the pattern written for the opposite? Makes it a little hard to follow the chart. You always have to remember that the white squares are for the dark background. I’ve had to tink back a lot when I forget.

This pattern is so much fun to knit, though. Goes quickly and the colorwork really keeps your interest. I always love a braided edge. Working on circulars, using Magic Loop. The Berocco Ultra Alpaca is perfect for these mittens - so soft.
