Making a pair of ORANGE socks for my daddy! Will cast on June 11, 2011, per the SKA Scavenger Hunt guidelines. Woot!

I WON THE SKA SCAVENGER HUNT!!!

HERE is a list of what I won…

and HERE is the posting that took first prize!

Thanks so much to EVERYONE who helped! I could not have done it without you all!! A special shout out to riordan, jodiemom, and marketstreetyarn!!

The following posts occured on Saturday, June 11, 2011:
0830: CAST ON!!
0842: First picture successfully captured! Crazy cat wouldn’t cooperate!
Note: Today was also MOVE OUT day at OU, so in between all the SKAvenger hunt photos, I also had to move Erin out of her 4th floor walk-up dorm room. Yeah. Sucked. Oh, and it is about 95 degrees outside with no clouds.
1344: Scaling the rock wall at Ping Center, Ohio University in Athens, Ohio
1436: Sitting on a multi-language (and quite socialist messaged!) bench outside Gordy Hall at OU. Didn’t catch the officer’s name, but L-R is Yvette, Jessie, Erin and Me! It was SO HOT at that black table!
1503: At jodiemom’s house with son, Mark. They were such good sports!
1507: Jodie’s idea to put the sock in a zip bag and stick it in the plant bowl! Too funny!
1648: Back home again and succesfully convinced DH to “play the part” for me!
1730: Made it back into Parkersburg, WV just in time to catch Pat and Barbara at Market Street Yarn and Crafts. Beth joined in the fun, too!
1809: Zipped up to the top of Ft. Boreman Hill for a pic of the scenic overlook.
1820: Security Guard Brian was such a good sport for demonstrating this dance for me. Although a funnier picture was probably me teaching him the dance in the first place!
1910: Poor Courtney. She really did not understand anything about what I was doing. Also, off camera my daughter was hollering at me that I had just knocked my ENTIRE 48 oz. iced tea all over the seat of my car in my haste to get this picture. Time to go home. Calling it a night. ZZZzzzz.
