Notes

05.25.2018 - Almost finished. There is only the buttonhole band to knit, ends to weave in and buttons to sew on. I’m happy with the colors I chose. Hairst means Autumn in the Shetland language and I decided to knit the yoke in the fall colors that I saw growing up in Ontario. The yoke isn’t quite as bright as in the photo.

01.21.2018 - After setting this aside for several months while I moved, recuperated after an accident, did some Christmas knitting and retired from work, I’m finally ready to start knitting on the Hairst cardigan again. One sleeve is finished.

07.08.2017 - Turning out too big and sloppy-looking. Restarting with a smaller size and needles.

09.27.2015 - Yarn (main color) was purchased at Jamieson & Smith in Lerwick.
