First sweater underway - Started December 28, 2021, during a snow storm in Minnesota. Using yarn on hand, chunky weight from Malabrigo.

Colors from Malabrigo chunky:

  • Lettuce, 037, Color A, main color
  • Forest, 145, Color B
  • Bobby Blue, 027, Color C
  • Dark Earth, 140, for moose motif
  • Polar Moon, 009, for color work with moose in yoke
  • Damask Rose, 130, used in yoke just underneath neckband

Needles:
US 10, 6mm, circular and double pointed needles
US 5.5, 9 mm, circular and double pointed needles

Progress

  • Dec. 28, 2021, cast on stitches, started during snow storm worked on sleeves
  • Jan. 4, 2022, finished second sleeve, blizzard in Minnesota
  • Jan. 5, 2022, started body of sweater, ribbing
  • Jan. 6, 2022, started color chart at bottom of sweater, completing 21.5 cm, or about 8.5 inches.
  • Jan. 27, 2022, completed sweater

Additional Notes

  • This is my first ever sweater I’ve knitted, and excited to knit this design.

  • My chart 1 pattern is slightly off, with the top row higher by two stitches. To offset change, I’m carrying this out in the sleeves and also the bottom of sweater instead of unraveling.
