ever since she saw mine, my mom has been hinting (in a not so subtle way) that she wanted a clapotis. so for her 70th birthday, i gave her an I.O.U. because one must select one’s own color. just took her to pick out the silky merino today and promised she’d have her present before her 71st birthday next june.

fast forward 3+ years… i finally cast on. her birthday is 4 months away, so i think it’s doable :)
