Notes

Testing this for Joji.

27 Aug 2013: Once again, I turn to this trusty tutorial from Woolly Wormhead for the long-tail tubular cast on. Works every time! Knitted up the first set of cable panels, loving my yarn choice.

28 Aug 2013: Ack! I wasn’t paying attention to the pattern so I had a column on M1r’s where there shouldn’t be. I could fudge it all the way down 8 rows but the fabric would be too loose. Rrrrrrip!

30 Aug 2013: Back on track! Flowing much faster now that I have a clearer image of where everything is supposed to be.

31 Aug 2013: Dividing for the sleeves, yay! had to try it on, and I love it! Hope the neckline doesn’t stretch out too much with blocking.

2 Sept 2013: Started the waist decreases. Getting distracted by Breaking Bad at the moment :)

4 Sept 2013: Started the hip increases and up to 10inches of the body done now. I think I will make this longer with deeper ribbing. Also might do 3/4 sleeves instead of full length.

5 Sept 2013: Done with body shaping, knitting straight down till I am happy with the length.

6 Sept 2013: Done with the body, cast off using tubular method, now on to the sleeves.

11 Sept 2013: Sleeve No. 1 is done!

12 Sept 2013: Just one more set of decrease and 30 rows of ribbing and I am done! Too bad my train arrived at its destination before I could finish it.

And later that evening…

Done!
Used all of 2 skeins. Had to do suspended bind off on the sleeves as the tubular method was tight.

I love every minute of knitting this, even the sleeves. I did wonder what others were complaining about. Sleeves have less stitches, you just keep going round and round and just keep an eye put for decrease rounds.

Anyway, Joji’s a goddess. Thanks for one of the most enjoyable test knitting experiences ever. I cannot wait to start wearing this to work, or everywhere else.

Finally photos of the FO. Thanks to Marielle for modelling for me.
