I can’t say any more than that for the time being, because I don’t want to give anything away. But let it be known, it is going well so far.

I must refrain from posting real pictures of this project, even though I desperately want to show it off! I’ve compromised by taking some “teaser” shots of the side and back of the project. I don’t see how anyone could possibly guess what it is (or whom it is for) just based on these pictures. They’ll just have to wait and see!

I finished it! Good thing too, because tomorrow I am driving to the house of one of my friends who is also involved in the Secret Santa Exchange, and between then and when we do the exchange, I will be with a bunch of my friends who are also part of this Secret Santa Exchange. So I had to finish it today! And I did.
I got a little help from my grandma, the goddess of knitting. She helped with the blocking, since I was terrified that I would scorch my beloved project with the iron. I have never used an iron. My mom and I don’t even own an iron. When I was little, I had a picture book that showed an iron, and I pointed to it and said “boat.” Well, Grandma helped me use her “boat” to smooth out the edges, and now it looks GREAT!
I can’t wait to give it to its recipient. Until then, it must remain shrouded in mystery. For now, here’s one more (hopefully) cryptic shot of the back of it.

I uploaded some of my in-progress photos that, before now, I could not post. There’s also one of the banner in its new home.
There are a lot of in-progress photos from this project, because when you’re doing colorwork, progress is slow, and each and every row is a victory that must be celebrated and documented!
