I found a skein of stunning hank-dyed variegated yarn. Couldn’t afford more than one skein so chose a pattern that could grow until the yarn ran out.
Based on Mostly Harmless but adapted for more texture by developing blocks of lattice stitch to make the yarn go a little further, and simplifying the edge by removing the zigzag “teeth”.
The pattern worked well but personally I don’t really like the mottled look of the colour - it looked far more attractive in solid bands in the untouched hank, but oh well, live and learn!
