Gauge & Needles
3.5 mm (US 4) needles to get gauge. A little big but I don’t have 3.25 circulars and that might be too small anyway. I didn’t have smaller circulars for the ribbing so I’m starting with a circumference that’s 2 inches smaller (in multiples of 4sts for a 2x2 rib) = 188-16= CO 172 sts. Sleeves CO 48-4=44. Increase them back after rib.

Learned from another stranded project to knit very loosely so as not to pull the floats too tight. The tracks look great! Many of the color runs are very long, so a lot of wrapping floats is required, which I hate because it always shows a little in front, especially with high-contrast colors. So, for the blue of the train cars I’m going to do intarsia.
