Notes

Legs
I added 5 extra rounds to each leg (after Rnd 16).
Body
I added 5 extra rounds (after Rnd 22).
Arms
I added 2 extra rounds to the hands (after Rnd 4) and
another 5 extra rounds (after Rnd 14). (Total of 7 extra rounds).

Pants
Healthcare worker pants with rows added to the legs.
Jumper/Sweater
Hoodie pattern without the hood done in random red, white, pink and green stripes.

Hat
I started with 7sc in a magic ring, then increased in each round until I got to the (7sc, inc) round.
Think I worked 6 or 7 rounds of sc, then worked the next increase round in the front loops only - to encourage the brim to stand out.
I worked a few more increase rounds (starting with 8sc, inc) until the brim was wide enough, then finished with a round of reverse single crochet.
The hat band - using red, I made a chain long enough to fit around the hat and worked 3 rows of double crochet.
The bow - I made a chain long enough to form a loop big enough to be the bow. I worked 1 row of hdc in light green, 1 of white, 1 green, 1 white and finish with a green row. Sew the short ends together, then flatten the loop. Pinch in the middle to create the bow and secure by tying with green yarn.
I embroidered a stripe in light pink down the middle of both white stripes.
The strawberry - I made 2 of the appliques (only add the stem and leaves to one strawberry) and sewed the two sides together - lightly stuff and sew to centre of bow.
The hair
I made a chain long enough to fit around the head, sl st to join…then work 1 round of dc.
The hair is made by working in the front loops of the dc, then working along the remaining back loops.
I randomly worked between 5chain and 9ch.
Work the chain, slst into the first back loop of the chain, then sc to the end of ch, slst into next st and repeat.
For this Strawberry Shortcake I worked a cluster of hair for her fringe, then left about 8sts either side before starting the rest of her hair.

To avoid increase lines on the bottom of the head,
I ‘split’ or stagger the increases like this;
Up to Rnd 34: As per pattern.
Rnd 35: 2sc, inc, * (4sc, inc) * repeat from * to * to last 2sts - finish the round with 2sc.
Rnd 36: As per pattern.
Rnd 37: 3sc, inc, * (6sc, inc) * repeat from * to * to last 3sts - finish the round with 3sc.
Rnd 38: As per pattern.
Rnd 39: 4sc, inc, * (8sc, inc) * repeat from * to * to last 4sts - finish the round with 4sc.
Rnd 40 and beyond: As per pattern.
So - the pattern hasn’t been altered at all!
You’ve simply moved the increases on all of the ‘even’ rounds and all ‘odd’ rounds remain the same
