This is another baby shawl for my new grandson due soon.

Up-date: Baby Lenny Ian was born 27 Nov, 2020 weighing 8lbs 13 ozs. Welcome to the world my darling Grandson

I made him a white one here, but I thought he needed another one.

I used 4 ply yarn which is much finer that d.k. and will be nice and light for a newborn.

I already had 800 grams of this yarn, which I bought a long time ago and thought it was time I used it.

This blanket only took just over 300 gms, so I will have enough to make another blanket.

I’m very pleased with how this turned out and it was a nice quick blanket to make.

Note to self:
When working row 4 ch 3 instead of 4. Makes for a better look.

Stats:

I started with a row of sc.

11 pattern repeats wide
17 pattern repeats long

Border:

1 round of sc
3 rounds of dc, ch1 dc V stitch with one V stitch, ch 2, V stitch at corners.

I didn’t add the scallop edge as this blanket is for a boy.
