As others have indicated, this pattern is unnecessarily complicated.

It leaves out key information that newer knitters would absolutely need to complete it successfully— and even a more seasoned knitter (like myself) would appreciate a reminder about the necessary changes when switching from working the pattern back-and-forth to working it in the round.

Also, there appear to be two rows missing on one of the charts for the front: adding them in will throw off the row count for joining front & back yoke, but not adding them in will disrupt the cabling.

I fudged it after adding them in, but it’s exasperating that a pattern that is written in such a convoluted style also has a MAJOR typo that has apparently gone unaddressed for 2 years.

Midway through, I started to wish I had chosen a different pattern: bottom up & seamed cable sweater patterns are far easier than this.

To me, it’s too much trouble just to get a top-down cabled sweater (and the main pattern is actually a mock cable, so… it’s not all that cabled).

Sleeves ended up much too short at suggested length: added an additional inch, then 2 inches of ribbing.

Body also a bit short at suggested length; added additional 2 inches, then redid the ribbing.
