A list of all my modifications. These were for a size 10 us male.

Toe caston: +4st per needle
Toe increase: +2st per needle
Gusset: mod for high instep total 36st on heel needle
Work heel knit 23st W&T on the 24st continue with pattern.
Ankle: checker board pattern. k5 p5 till end of round for 5 rounds, then swap p5 k5. I did this 2 times then switched to patterns ribed cuff to finish.

Second photo shows off my pair which were made following the pattern for large size, and short ankel done in moss stich. Row 1: K1 P1 to end, Row 2: P1 K1 to end, repeat for 8. I wanted more of a booty style and this made a cute loose cuff.
