I used the Iona and the Filati for the 12 row stripe two thirds up the body of the bag.

In the set-up row for the strap I kept sts on my circular needle instead of putting them on stitch holders, then transferred them to DPNS when I started to work on the straps.

6.19. All the knitting is done. I will do the felting next week on laundry day.

Size before felting:

• Bottom: 9“ diameter
• Height: 14“
• Width: 15.5“

Size after felting:

• Bottom: 8“
• Height: 9“
• Width: 12.75“

Although I think the pattern is not written very clearly, I think you can follow it intuitively and it is not too hard.

June 23: Finally felted it. I only needed one washing cycle on hot and I am pleased with the outcome.
