Years ago I saw this necklace at the Knitting Cup in Georgetown, TX, and have ever since wanted to make it.

When I finished my Mallow the other day, there was this little leftover, and the Nile color just looks so much like leaves … and Hobby Lobby was on my way to find some beads (Bead Treasures 6/0 Glass Seed Bead Mixes Buttercream; I think the iridescent beads looks best).

A fun knit, and a perfect use for any leftover 40 yards!

It was my first time “knitting with beads”, and I’m actually surprised how easy it is.

Note: Instead of a crochet hook, I used dental floss to add the beads … worked like a charm.

I still need to put a closure on it, but it looked too pretty to not be photographed right away …
