I put these colours aside-

Magenta X

After 3 months of lockdown I was desperate to buy yarn to start this blanket as a sample for the written pattern, so stood for an hour and a half waiting to get into Hobbycraft when they opened. I then spent half an hour choosing my yarn and got home to find I had bought identical colours to the original blanket I had made 3 years before….
I decided to carry on and use them anyway and started trying to work out a colour repeat. I quickly realised that I didn’t want the deeper colours included - some of them would stand out too much, so I put them to one side for another project.
That left me with 8 colours and if I’ve been able to buy pale lilac, then my new blanket would be identical to the original!!!
The colours I took out are marked with an X above.

This yarn is quite a thick DK, so my baby size is a little larger but that’s fine. Working on the border now and trying different things along the way to see what different borders look like, although I’ll probably finish with something clean and simple.
