Colourwork and bobbles!!

I knitted size C for bust 32” and very happy with the fit.

Main needle: 3.5mm
Colourwork needle: 3.75cm
Cast on needle: 3.25mm
Sleeve ribbing: 3.25mm and 3mm

Sleeves: knitted 14cm from underarm to start of colourwork. Omitted the decrease round, went into ribbing after the chart. Knitted the cuff rib about 1.5cm on 3.25mm and another 1.5cm plus cast off on 3mm.

Body: knitted 22cm from underarm to start of body colourwork. My sweater hem is still on the needles and I will omit either the rest of the bobbles or the leaf section to obtain a length that suits me.

Colour: I knitted the yoke in 2 different batches of my Ursus colourway. The darkest batch for the wing tips and body of the birds, and a lighter version in a section of the wings. This, to me, adds a little extra life and movement. The main colour is a Maple to Dark Maple shade from my stash.

PS: from my experience in the test knit I would recommend going for high contrast on the birds in the yoke..colours quickly blend together here! I added the pop colour sparingly..less is more, there is a lot going on
