Notes

I knit the second size for my husband, who is a fairly big man, so that it would fit him as it fits the model (be aware that the pattern calls for A Lot of ease and the model is wearing only 3/4” positive ease). The pattern was easy to follow, and the buttonband had very helpful numbers and picking up ratios, so it ends up being nice and smooth. My one mod was that I knit the body, then the yoke with a provisional cast on for the sleeves, then knit the sleeves top down so his longer arms would be accommodated. I wish I had modified the buttonholes because mine are not very tidy, though they are sturdy. Knit it on and off for almost a year, but it would be a fairly quick knit if you just sit down and do it.

I did not have a lot of problems with yarn breakage, but I knew about that and was careful since this was a fairly unspun yarn (I also knit continental/lever style and I don’t think that stresses the yarn as much)

Despite me not being as happy with the end product as I had initially hoped, my husband LOVES IT and practically lives in it outdoors.
