Notes

When I first listened to the podcast The Adventure Zone, I knew as soon as Istus was introduced that I needed to cosplay her. A goddess of fate and time who knits the destiny of the universe in a never-ending scarf of shifting rainbow colors? That’s my jam! Noro silk garden was an obvious choice for the yarn, but I wanted a pattern that would be easy enough to remember, but would create an interesting, shifting kind of texture.

Cast on 42 stitches to get a more substantial scarf.

This scarf is essentially meant to be never ending, so I don’t really care about the color or dye lot of the Noro, just that the colors are harmonious with what I already have. That way, I can happily go and purchase more yarn kind of whenever I need it.

I’d like this scarf to be a good few feet long by Emerald City Comic Con, but for sure by Dragon Con.

Finished my first skein, minus one color to get a more seamless blend into the next skein. It got me a bit over 15 inches. I’ve joined the second skein and have one more ready to go, but based on that math I’m going to want a few more to have a long enough scarf for the cosplay. It’s described as being imperceptibly long and fading out of view in the podcast so honestly, the longer the better.
