Notes

Holes are made in flip flops and a crochet base of single crochets is created with a 2.25 mm hook and a thinner yarn. Then the sandal parts are crocheted to the base in a main color. I used a much thinker high-heeled base than the one used in the pattern. The pattern begins with 8 single crochets at the top and then begins crocheting back and forth attaching to the base at the end of each side as you reach the end of your row. However I found that “two sc on sole” at the end of each row gave me a toe end that way too tall for me feet, so I slipped stich the last two stiches of the row on the sole instead and then skipped the first slip stitch on the way back. This gave me a nice tight fit around the toe. Note I did not use Lion Brand and the Sanibel I used was thicker than the Lion Brand.

I also decided to cross stitch a fox head details on the toes for decoration.
