Notes

Should I use my stash of Black Wool-Ease or get new yarn? I really didn’t like it when I worked on the Record pillow, but I have enough left for this project and it would be a nice neutral. Hmmmm…..

1/9/2011: So I just used the Wool-Ease. It’s not so bad with this project. I finished the bottom and have started the back. I had to restart the back a few times. I was using the wrong post for the FPHDCs so they weren’t lining up correctly. I finally got it. I always have issues regarding what post to use with post stitches. The back is going to take a while to get through, so I have plenty of time to get my buttons.

1/10/2011: This is working up pretty small. That’s what I get for no gauge swatch I guess. I just really didn’t feel like making one for a bag. I guess that’s even better. I can use it like a purse.

2/21/2011: Finally got back to working on this. I need to work on it in bright light so it’s been a while. This is a great bag to learn some new stitches on. Just need to do the straps and sew it up. Hope to turn this from UFO to FO today or tomorrow.

2/22/2011: Finished the crochet this morning. Just need to sew it up now.

2/23/2011: steam blocked it. It really needed it. Some of the stitches made certain sections very tight. Now I can sew.

Pattern error for both side panels: Chart and written instructions don’t match for either side panel. For both,
Row 1: start with a row of SC in BLO,
Row 2: 3SC, (either bead stitch or TC depending on which panel it is, then 3SC) repeat between ()
Row 3: a row of SC
Row 4: 1SC, (either bead or TC, then 3SC) repeat between () and end with 1SC
Row 5: a row of SC
Repeat Rows 2-5

Pattern error on straps: Add row of Kiss stitch after straps Row 4.
