I followed the pattern with the following modifications:

The cuff was knit with 10 rounds of 2 x 1 ribbing in MC, then I knit 10 rounds in CC with the first round being the color change round (knit around), then I changed back to the MC and did the thumb gusset.

For the second stripe, I knitted 7 rounds in CC with the first round being the color change round (knit around), then changed back to the MC (knit around), then knit 3 rounds in rib, then bound off using EZ’s sewn bind off.
