Cast on 9/1/2019. I chose US 6 needles for a thick, tight gauge, thinking it will make a warmer scarf.

This has been a nice and easy project to keep in my desk at work - mindless knitting when I’m in the mood to knit and review.

Finished the first half of the scarf and moved on to the second half in mid-February. I didn’t use all of the first skein the first half, but love the reddish purple and orange-ish yellow bits, which is where I was in the sequence, so I just took the yarn I was on and moved to the second half. When the yarn finished, I joined the second skein and kept knitting.

All the while, there was this little feeling I had that it bugged me that the stripe sequence didn’t mirror on each side of that first triangle, but I thought the colors would keep me happy. And, there I am, second half of the scarf just about 3 inches shy of the length of the first half, and I hit the color that would have been the color to start with if I was mirroring - and I knew I wouldn’t be happy unless I ripped and restarted the second half so the stripes would mirror. So, Mar. 6, I ripped and restarted. So. Much. Happier.

Folks, always listen to that little voice.

Finished in the wee morning hours of Mar 21. The colors were a gorgeous and smooth transition all the way. So happy with how this turned out.
