Edit: Knitted with two threads from the same color.

Started these mitten from the fingers-up (toe-up). Just like starting a sock. Cast on 10 st. and M1 every other round to get 20 st. on each needle. One extra st. in the middle of the round to get 21 st. An uneven number makes the coloring end with the same color you started with. Alternate blue and grey thread. Knit one color with left hand and the other with the right hand. The cuff is done in 1K with grey and 1P with blue (15 rounds). For thumb knitting I used the ultimate knitting guru E. Zimmermann’s technique of putting 7 st. on hold on a contrasting thread while finishing the mitten. Pick up these (6 + 7 st.) st. and make another 2 or 3 extra. Knit the thumb in the round just like the mitten.

It needs adjustements. The thumb is too big and the mitten is too small around the palm. But, give me a break. This is my very first made up mitten. So it is back to number 2…
