This was selected as the November 2020 KAL. I had already made one with yarn I bought special for it, and have been trying to work from stash this year, so it was a challenge to find something suitable.

Decided to go with an old stash entry from 2017 and do a tonal version with DK yarn held double. Super glad I did!

Dropped a needle size from suggested as I am a loose knitter and I didn’t know what I would end up with holding the DK yarn double. Extended the pattern by 2 repeats (8 rows) to use up a bit more yarn and to make up for the height I lost in the process of modifying the yarn/needles.

Yarn is super squishy and holding it double created an incredibly soft and warm piece. Off the needles in 2 days!

I don’t enjoy knitting with bulky yarn or large needles, it tends to bother my hands more, but this flew off the needles without too much need for breaks.
