I’m making this for the 2015 Desert Bus for Hope Craft-Along.

I’m double knitting the hat for added warmth and because I hate double stitching.

June 28 - I did the adult large but my gauge was way off. The length was right but 108 stitches around is about 2 inches too much in the width. I am going to frog and start again with 96 stitches cast on but use the adult large for length.

Took forever to find a light that was the right size! I ended up using a ShoeLit LED light from niteize.com. The battery is replaceable and it’s about an inch in diameter. I attached the light by crocheting two ch3 loops to the section where I wanted the light. The light snaps on and off the hat so the hat can be washed.
