When I saw Mandarine’s beautiful hat pattern “Woodsy”, I had to modify it as a dress. The delicate embroidered look of the trees as she depicts them, is perfection.

Since I was working on a much smaller scale, I used a cast on of 100 stitches and offset the original chart so a tree would fall on the center front of the skirt. I also changed the lacework between the trees, since I was worried about small holes on the skirt. Instead, I opted to add two small diamond shapes with four knit stitches between each tree.

This bunny was knit on 2.75 and 3.00mm needles using Sublime Extra fine merino dk yarn in Caramel.
