One of my favourite things to do on vacation is stop at yarn shops along the way and at our destination to pick up something we can’t find back home. In Hawaii, I found some beautiful cotton sock yarn with colourways named after the flora,fauna, and tourists that cover Hawaii. I decided to get a hank for each of us, to make some socks. This ended up being the first pair of socks I ever made, and I think they turned out rather well!

I also can’t help but think that they are extra-warm, since they have a little bit of the Hawaii sun knitted right in.
