11.03.13 I am making a table cloth to match this doily. I’m using the same pattern, but I will just do lots of pineapple repeats. I am just past the part where it would have started making an oval. This will probably take a while, but it’s something I can work on when I am in the mood to crochet instead of knit.

06.21.14 I don’t have the skill set to increase the size of this to make a table cloth. Instead, I am making a round doily based on the original pattern. I wish I could describe the changes I’ve made, but when I picked this back up to keep working on it, I just visually compared what I had so far to the oval doily I had already completed, and am just making it to match. The way that I think about crochet patterns as I’m working them is very different from how they are written, and I don’t know how to translate what’s in my head to here. So no help if you wanted to make this into a regular round doily, except that I will try to take good pictures when I am done. Also, yarn used is approximate.

07.03.14 This still needs to be blocked, but all ends are woven in. It’s not currently lying flat, but my fingers are crossed that it just needs a good blocking.
