I failed to knit him a pair for Christmas this year, and a little bird whispered in my ear, “Scott would love another pair of your socks!” Music to my ears! So… I introduce the Scottie Socks.

Working with the Folklore Yarn “Traditions”, a Donegal Tweed aran, the cables just seemed to be flow off the needles, and as I stood back to look at what was developing the image of Cathedral arches and cloisters came to mind.

The back of the leg has been left plain stocking stitch, but the stitch pattern from the front of the leg could be incorporated into the back too.

The Gentle Waves Cowl is a cosy lace cowl, which looks more difficult than it really is and knits up really quickly. The only stitches needed for the lace pattern are decreases and yarn overs.
