Dutch Knitting Design

Dutch Knitting Design

Due to some changes in my personal life, I haven’t been around much since the end of 2013. Since of january 2016 I’m slowly getting back to designing.
This change also means I won’t be dying and selling yarn, and patterns will not be translated in Dutch anymore.

Marleen van der Vorst is a full-time designer and pattern writer.
She lives with husband, 3 children and a belgium sheppard in Helmond, the Netherlands.
Though she mostly self-publishes her patterns on her website Dutch Knitting Design, you can also find her designs in Webzines like Knitty.com and Knit on the Net and magazines like The Knitter Magazine. Since 2012 she also started designing with her own dyed yarns, which you can find on her website

Her philosophy: to design flattering clothing and accessoires which one actually wants to wear and will enjoy knitting. This enjoyment of knitting starts with a well written pattern. Because of her belief that everyone should be able to make her designs, all of her patterns are extensively explained, both in written instructions and in charts. Besides, she’s always available for questions about her designs.
