If you are copying/pasting text and not doing one of the above, nothing will happen. Note that the forum post coding will differ from what has been typed when an earburn is created. Entering this text into a post will create a regular rather than magic link to a profile page and no earburn will be sent per cassidy’s post here.

Community Eye Candy: Are Your Ears Burning?
When you get magic linked in the Ravelry forums, you receive a message that says “Are your ears burning?” Many people therefore refer to a magic link as an “earburn”. These phrases made me look in the projects to see if there are some fun projects with ears, and boy are there! Here are a few I wanted to share.

All About Ravelry Forums
… , click on the Browse tab of the Forums page. From the Status dropdown list, choose Ignoring. Click the red ball in the final column for the thread you want and click on stop ignoring.
If you ignore a thread, you won’t receive notice if someone earburns you in that thread.
Mark Unread
This option sets the thread back to unread status.
