You’re worth it and you’ve earned it! All those lace projects have made you ready for this one. The textural gorgeousness of this stitch pattern is worth every stitch and begs to be knit up in a luxe yarn.

This sample is in my go-to cashmere blend from Knitpicks, but would be lovely in most any luxurious worsted-weight yarn that has wonderful stitch definition.

Double orchid motifs run the length of the scarf, with twisted ribbing as the background. Each motif is a thing of beauty, with lots of visual interest created with basic lace techniques and a few that are easily learned by those who have lace knitting experience.

Fully charted and written out, you’ll find that this stitch pattern challenges at first, but will quickly become easier as you see each motif take shape.

Instructions are included for a nice, warm scarf with additional instructions for a wider stole, which has five orchid columns.

GAUGE: 20 sts = 3 ¾“ 9.5 cm and 26 rows = 4 ½” 11.5 cm in Lace patt, blocked

Sample is knit in Capra, which is listed as a dk-weight, but knits up as a worsted-weight in this pattern due to its loose plies and softness.
