Reminiscent of ocean waves, Yun’s oversized shawl is worked in undulating two-color brioche and features an italian cast-on and bind off. Koigu Wool Designs’ KPPPM and KPM are the perfect lightweight merino yarns for a cool-weather wrap.

According to Nancy Marchant, “Brioche works best on loose-fitting garments that require ease.” Because brioche stitches create a lofty fabric, she recommends going down a needle size (or two) if you want to control the give.
