This pattern is for my husband. He wanted something inspired by vintage video games that hold a special nostalgia for him, so we designed motifs inspired by Space Invaders, Galaga, and Pac Man. He also request black and neon, which led to a collaboration with Eva, the dyer behind Seismic Yarns.

The 8 Bit Doodle Cowl is a series of mix-and-match mini colorwork charts for an infinity cowl. With a variety of characters and border designs, this pattern allows for knitters to choose motifs that align to their personal childhood memories!

Knit using 2 full skeins and 5-6 minis of DK weight yarn, this pattern lends itself to using either mini skein kits or mixing coordinating colors of leftovers, stash, or yarn scraps!

Motifs Include:
Pacman
Space Invaders
Galaga

The pattern is knit in the round using circular needles. A provisional cast on and Kitchener stitch create a seamless finish.

Special Techniques
Stranded colorwork in the round, reading charts, catching long floats, provisional cast on, and Kitchener stitch.
