Here’s an easy winter hat you can crochet using the crunch stitch and a single crochet ribbing. It’s a nice and warm hat that works great especially in the cooler weather. It can work great for a child, teen, woman, or man. The pompom is optional, but I think it’s a cute addition.

Stitches used in this pattern include the chain (CH), single crochet (SC), half double crochet (HDC), and slip stitch (SLST). The crochet hook used is a size H 5 mm.

The yarn is Red Heart’s Heat Wave yarn, which is sunlight activated and can keep you up to 12 degrees warmer. The sample hat uses the color Sandy Shores, but there are quite a number of other wonderful colors you can choose.

There is a step-by-step tutorial video for this pattern.
