A quick and engaging pattern that will serve for many decorative purposes; birthdays, Christmas- advent, new born nurseries, etc.

The pattern includes instructions on how to knit the triangles as well as written and photo instructions on how to hand stitch letters to each triangle so you can customize the flag for the little ones in you life.

What I love about this pattern is the handmade feel that it has. The visible stitches and the color combo remind me of the decoration in a 1950’s American university dormitory.

  • Finished measurements: Each triangle measures 13cm wide (the top) and 13 cm long
  • Yarn: 2 skeins of Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt colors 3355 (color 1) and 3082 Brun (color 2) (one skein of each) 100% Norwegian wool DK, 50g skein (90 m). The amount of skeins that you will need will depend on how many triangles you intend to make. (I managed to knit 6 flags out of each 50g skein)
  • Materials: 4mm DPN, tapestry needle, scissors, pencil or a washable pen, needle and needle thread similar to the color of the fabric you are going to use.

The pattern calls for a DK weigh yarn but you can knit it with any yarn and needle size.
