And… Welcome to our annual NYE MKAL! I’m so excited to get started!

As usual, we’ll be casting on at midnight New Year’s Eve - somewhere on planet Earth - and no - I will not be telling you where! It’s all part of the mystery!!!

A New Year’s Wish is a large triangular shawl that starts off as a comfy hug and ends with masses of lace, symbolizing the cold months we start the year with, followed by the warmer months of spring and summer, where anything is possible! And yes, this IS a ‘House Cozy’ - if the house in question is a cabin in the woods!

The MKAL will last 5 weeks (so, it will end before the Winter Ravelry Games begin - just!) and is being hosted over on my Criminal Knits…for the Serial Knitter in all of us group where we will have all the usual chat, photos, and help threads - so come and join us there for all the mayhem and madness!

Miss Babs will have fabulous kits available starting Dec 5th. I’ll put up a link both here and in my group when they’re ready to order!

But, of course, we always encourage stash diving, and there is a host of info about that in the Welcome Letter, which you will receive on pattern purchase.

Materials:
You will need not less than 1200 yards of Sport weight yarn. The pattern is written for 3 colors. More info on how to choose your yarn and colors if you are not getting a kit from Miss Babs is in the Welcome Letter.

US Size 6 or 7 16”, 24” & 40” circular needles. If you like to spread your fabric out you might want a 60” (Test knit a little swatch in your sport weight yarn to see which needle produces the fabric you like best in stockinette)

38 Removable Markers, the ones that look like diaper pins - they MUST be removable in order to work this pattern.
