Africa:
Toponymic of the continents that make up the earth. It comes from the Latin “aprica”, which means “sunny” or “under the sun”.
A very appropriate name to feel the heat on our head.

This hat is worked from bottom to top. After a short section of 1x1 rib, the lace body is worked, following the written or chart instructions.

Materials
-Approximately 70g-100g of any Worsted weight yarn (200m / 219yds per 100g). The sample is worked with acrylic yarn
-4mm and 4.5mm circular needle (40cm / 16in)
-4.5mm dpns for small circumference
-8 stitches markers
-1 tapestry needle
-scissors

Gauge
-19 sts and 23 rows to 10cm / 4in over stockinette, without stretching and after washing. Use 4.0mm / U.S. 6 needle as a starting point for swatching.

-21 sts and 24 rounds to 10cm / 4in over 1x1 rib, without stretching and after washing. Use 4.0mm / U.S. 6 needle as a starting point for swatching.

-14 sts and 21 rounds to 8cm / 3in over lace stitches (one chart repeat), without stretching and after washing. Use 4.5mm / U.S. 7 needle as a starting point for swatching.
